RENO-STEAD 
CONCRETE PADS

DEC designed the Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP) parking pads for heavy aircraft on the apron at Reno-Stead Airport (RTS). The parking pads are designed to provide a rigid parking surface for BLM air tankers, which typically damage the existing asphalt concrete (AC) pavements.

RENO-TAHOE 
AOA PERIMETER FENCE IMPROVEMENTS

Approximately 8,300 linear feet of existing six-foot tall chain link security fence will be replaced with ten-foot tall fencing in 13 separate locations along the AOA perimeter fence at RTIA.  Addition project elements include the replacement of 13 vehicle access gates, and the demolition of mini storage units.

DUNSMUIR AIRPORT RUNWAY 14-32 RECONSTRUCTION

This project included the design for the reconstruction of 2,800 feet of Runway 14-32, 535 feet of Runway 14-32 overrun, 100 feet of Taxiway T1, and 100 feet of Taxiway T2 pavement. Approximately 23,500 square yards of pavement will be reconstructed as a part of this project.
