Designing for Success
DEC has provided Reno Nevada and surrounding areas with civil engineering design services including, feasibility studies, cost analysis and construction document preparation. The projects have focused on water resource projects and mine component design. Projects include roads and pavements, water impoundment structures and water conveyance facilities. DEC has also completed many smaller civil design projects such as truck wash bays, pump stations, erosion control structures, and impervious liners.

 Concrete Design, Construction Management   Lateral Irrigation Flume over Walker RiverFeatured Projects: Metropolis Irrigation Restoration Project: preparing geotechnical analysis, rehabilitation design, and water conveyance assessments for the Metropolis Irrigation Restoration Project. The work includes design of a new dam, flood control structures, recreation facilities, and environmental assessments. Rodgers Dam: Rodgers Dam Failed Spring 2008. DEC designed a new dam overcoming the complex problem presented by deep sands at the dam site. The project includes construction observations.
